Consultancies

The Commission at times seeks an individual, consulting firm or organization to provide additional expertise for tasks for which there is no continuing need. A consultant usually contributes to high priority activities in the work programme of a Division or Section of the Commission.

The length of a consulting assignment depends on the project to be accomplished. It is normally not longer than four months. Every consultant is required to sign an agreement which defines the terms and conditions of the consultancy prior to taking up the assignment.

Individuals and institutions with expertise in areas of relevance to the work programme of the Commission such as seismology, geophysics, computer science, accounting, finance, human resource management or law and who are available to work as consultants are encouraged to send their cv's to the Personnel Section on an on-going basis.
