What are the benefits of being a Signatory State of the CTBT?

By signing the Treaty, States underscore their support for a world free of nuclear testing. Signatory States become members of the CTBTO Preparatory Commission where they make decisions pertaining to the work and activities of the Commission. Signatory States may benefit from the establishment of International Monitoring System stations and National Data Centers on their territories. The have the right to receive the raw data from the IMS and the data products from the International Data Centre in Vienna. They may also benefit from the scientific and technological research opportunities provided by IMS’s verification data. Read more in Membership benefits.
